Insomnia has set in again, and no amount of tossing and turning seems to lull me to sleep. I would give anything to fall into the soft embrace of slumber right now.

Thunder and lightning are keeping me company. I wish they weren't.

I would sing you a lullaby if I could find the words in my heart.
I would sing you to sleep if I even knew where to start.
I would rock you to sleep holding you tight.
I would keep you safe and comfortable until morning light.
I would quiet all of the sounds with a voice of my own.
And give you rest such as you have never known.
If you could still not sleep lying next to me.
I would at least provide you good company.
...Hope you finally found that place where you felt so comfortable that you sank two inches further into the bed!!

Love that. No idea who it's from or where it's from... but it made my day.

I hope you can find your sleep soon.

The poem is original, and true. I am very glad that I made your day. And I hope that you finally slept well.

I'm so sorry. Insomnia is impossible to deal with.

I'd tell you to try Ambien - but that's not helpful.

Wishing you lots of rest and sleep.
