Wireless Plans

Dear Sprint,

I am tired of you. Fed up with you more than I am at the seemingly endless fertility of K-Fed. I am tired of the fact that I can stand right outside your world headquarters and have no service. I am tired that I constantly have dropped calls, that I'm treated by your "customer service" department (and I use that term very loosely) like I am a burden to your company - although you've gotten about $100 a month from me since uh, 1998 or something. My loyalty to you - is GONE.

I am officially done with you. And I want a new camera phone with video capability anyway.

Please don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya on your way out.

xox,

A
----------------
So, who do you use for your cell service? What phone do you have?

Have you had a bad experience with your company? Or a previous company?

Give me the scoop.

We use t-mobile and have never had issues with them. We previously used Verizon and always seemed to have billing mistakes and that's when we switched over to t-mobile about 4 years ago. They may be better now but we're sticking with t-mobile.

I have the samsung t309 phone and hubby has the samsung x495. We just renewed our contract and hubby's phone was free and mine was about $40. We are really happy with what we have right now!

We do the pre-paid Cingular and are quite happy with it. We can text cheaper than calls during the week and there are tons of night/weekend minutes.

I must say Sprint is EVIL. We had to pay deposits each time we used them and NEVER got them back. They alleged they applied them to our bill, but could never provide the documentation or copies of statements to prove it. (our statements showed no such credit.) They suck.

Wow, because I have been pretty happy with Sprint. It's been 4.5 years.

Ex has had probably 4 services and is presently with Verizon and loves it. P also has Verizon and is happy.

I really need a new phone, as mine is 4.5 years old. I don't have a contract with Sprint anymore, so I have been toying with the idea of changing, but wanting a good deal on a good phone to do it.

Thanks for your post. I'll be back.

We have T-Mobile. For the most part I don't have any problems with them, but there are a few places I can't get service, usually in buildings. My mother and sister both haver Verizon and they almost always can get service even in the areas where I can't.

If you're looking for the best coverage, VZ is the way to go. M is a consultant, so travels a lot, and he and his coworkers all agree that you can use VZ in more places than the others. If that's not as important to you, I've heard very good things about T-mobile.

I have had VZ since 1994 (well, started out as Bell Atlantic Mobile, I think it was something else as well in the interim) and have been extremely happy with all aspects of my service.

I don't know if AT&T wireless still exists or if they merged with someone, but I personally had a horrible experience with them when I got phones for my parents, and have heard lots of other horror stories about them too.

Dropping by and weighing in on the phone thing. It is frustrating! I had no luck with T-Moblile, but I like Verizon so far. With T-mobile I had a "world phone" for business travel and it worked great in Europe but sucked here in the USA.

Good Luck!

I'm a Verizon user, and I've been pretty pleased with them. When I've talked to customer service, I've always been impressed - they've been friendly and helpful. Overall good guys.

We use US Cellular and have been very happy with the customer service, they always sound like they have a smile on. I can get reception all the way up to about an hour from my parents house, after that no matter who you have you won't get reception since they don't have any towers and all granite outcroppings to block every signal. So I have been happy with them. Good luck.

We have Verizon and have been pretty happy with it. The service is great, even out in the sticks. I have an LG VX8100 phone. The camera is much better than on my husband's Razr, but the screen is small. I don't use all the whiz bang things you can have with the phone, but I'm quite happy with it.

We used to have Cingular and they were awful. They've since merged with AT&T, so they may be a bit better now.

I dropped Sprint in 1998 after several years of uncontrollable suckage.

ATT Wireless lasted a few years, but I've been with T-mobile since 2002.

I'll have the occasional dropped call, but by far, they are the best I've ever had.

I have had Sprint for almost 4 years now and just re-signed for another two years. I have dropped a total of three calls in that time and have never needed to call customer service. I have a Samsung A840 camera phone with the vision pack so I can get my email and send pictures and have my Yahoo calendar send me reminders, etc. LOVE IT.

I use Cingular personally. I used to use Nextel, however when Srpint bought them out, they began to suck, royally. I had more dropped calls with the Sprint version of Nextel in three months than I can count. As a bonus, with Cingular, anyone you call on the Cingular network is a free call.

VerIIIIIIIIIIIIIzon, baby!

And I love them!! LOVE! I rarely ever drop calls, and usually when I do, it's cos my finger hit the wrong button. (But I say it dropped anyway.)

Sorry you've had a bad experience with Sprint. John and I have Treo 650s with the unlimited data plans and we haven't had any trouble with them. On principle, we hate all cell phone companies, but who can live without one now?

We have SUCK-U-LAR!(aka cingular)! And in case you couldn't tell they SUCK! I always have a hard time getting a signal and have often had to borrow friends cells (Verizon) to make calls. I can't even get a signal in my house! We're changing to Verizon when our contract ends!

I hate Verizon and always will solely because of thier sucky customer service. They do have a good netwrok, though. Sarge and I have Cingluar and we love it. Never a dropped call, in the year and half we've had them and thier rates are pretty reasonable. I don't know what's happening with Sunny Jenny's phone, though. Maybe we just live in a good area? Take that into account, I guess.

I have T-Mobile and I really like it. I've been using them since I kicked Sprint to the curb in 2001. The only problem I have with them these days is that they can't help me with technical issues, but that's because Gogs bought my phone in the UK and they don't sell it here (which, of course, means it is TOTALLY COOLER than any of the ones they DO sell).

Sprint/Nextel user myself. And yes I hate getting dropped. Just sucks. Hope you find a capable carrrier. No assvice for you on who to pick. Nextel is pretty good as far as the direct connect, but that's about it.
