Five and counting
I spoke to five different firms today that want to fly me up for interviews. I also spoke to a realtor today, and looked a little at houses. Beautiful roomy houses with 1/3 to 1/4 of the price tag as here.
Of course, since we leave in 2 weeks to Europe, I'm not sure when I'll be able to take time off to go interview (since each firm wants a 1 day interview). But I will manage.
It will work.

I've at least got my toe in the water, and I can see the ship on the horizon.

Glad you're making plans to make a dream come true--I hope the move gives you peace, stability and happiness. It sounds like you're on the road already!
Goodness--you must be one talented woman to command not one, not two but FIVE interviews in no time flat!
Hope you're able to find just the right situation, if you decide to take up one of these corporate suitors.

Sadly, talent has nothing to do with it. Moving to an area of the country where there are extremely few specialists in my quirky little area of the law - and moving to an area that isn't quite "big" enough for most people who work in a large firm has a lot more to do with it than talent I'm afraid.
